Official Resignation Demand : Ken Starks, Anh Jung, Katie Wick
The following letter was delivered directly to Board Members Ken Starks, Anh Jung, and Katie Wick.
Ken, Anh, and Katie,
On behalf of more than 550 Power Ranch homeowners, we are writing to demand your immediate resignations from the Power Ranch Board of Directors.
The damage caused under your collective lack of leadership, pursuit of personal agendas, and disregard for community trust has become undeniable. Your continued presence on the Board threatens the integrity, fiscal health, and reputation of our community.
Anh, your criminal history — including felony and embezzlement charges, falsified court documents, and legal issues spanning over a decade and multiple states — makes you unequivocally unfit for any fiduciary role. It has also come to light that you may have also misrepresented your education and professional background. These are not minor issues. They are disqualifying. The community deserves leaders of unquestionable integrity. You have repeatedly failed to meet even the minimum standard. Your ongoing legal pursuits against the Association while claiming to represent it is a clear conflict that undermines your position on the Board.
Ken and Katie, rather than protecting the community, you have enabled and defended this behavior. In addition, both of you have used your positions to advance personal vendettas and misguided agendas.
Ken, your ongoing vendetta against CCMC — including the so-called “Gate-gate” incident — continues to influence your actions and undermines your credibility. Your contradictory praise of current staff rings hollow in the face of persistent hostility. More importantly, your role in facilitating secret meetings at your home with Anh, Katie, and Jeremy violates both our CC&Rs and Arizona Open Meeting Laws. This is a serious breach of duty for someone holding the office of President.
Katie, your lack of understanding of governing documents, unwillingness to accept legal counsel, and reliance on misinformation have made you a dangerously destabilizing force on the Board. Your initial push to separate the Knolls from Power Ranch, followed by attempts to incite legal action against the Master Association based on false interpretations of fee structures, shows both poor judgment and a disregard for the financial consequences to the community. Despite receiving two legal opinions contradicting your position, you continue to push for additional legal reviews — wasting Association funds in pursuit of an agenda that could ultimately result in special assessments on every homeowner, including Knolls residents.
Together, the three of you have acted as a faction driven by ego, secrecy, and control — prioritizing personal interests over responsible governance. Your actions have included:
Misuse of law enforcement to intimidate homeowners;
Decisions made outside the purview of the full Board;
Reckless behavior that has severed relationships with industry leaders;
Public retaliation and verbal attacks on residents and dissenters.
This is not leadership — it is dysfunction. And the community will no longer tolerate it.
With over 4,000 households and nearly $6 million in annual funds, Power Ranch deserves transparent, ethical, and competent leadership. You have made it clear through your actions that you are either unwilling or incapable of providing it.
One must ask: Why continue serving a community that overwhelmingly rejects your leadership? Is it ego? A personal crusade? Or are there outside interests influencing your decisions and possibly offering compensation?
